Recently, Forbes Asia released its annual list of Asia’s most powerful businesswomen, featuring twenty women from the Asia Pacific region.

Ghazal Alagh, Namita Thapar and Soma Mandal are three Indian women entrepreneurs who have been named in the Forbes 2022 list of powerful business people in the Asia-Pacific region.

In honor of these pioneers, the list names 20 women from the Asia-Pacific region, including three Indian women. Ghazal Alagh, Namita Thapar and Soma Mandal are three entrepreneurs who have been honored by Forbes. Apart from India, the 2022 list also includes three women from Indonesia, Japan and Australia. The list includes two women from Singapore, South Korea and Thailand, and one woman each from China and Taiwan. The women are selected based on their achievements while running their businesses while demonstrating effective leadership throughout their careers.

Indian women stood out

Ghazal Alagh, 34, is the co-founder of Honasa Consumer, a company that houses skincare brands such as Ayuga, Aqualogica, The Derma Co and Mamaearth.

Soma Mondal is also in this list. Mondal’s list of achievements is long and inspiring. She was the first woman to head the state-owned Indian Steel Limited. The organization’s annual revenue has grown by tripling profits since Mondal took over as the company’s first female leader last year.

Emcure Pharma CEO Namita Thapar is the third entrepreneur to be honored on the list. Thapar is not only a powerful businessman but also a writer and runs her YouTube channel Unconditon Yourself With Namita Thapar.

The twenty women on the list are considered to be looking at their leadership path in the face of diversity, given the challenges that all businesses face in a post-pandemic world.
