Neha Narkhede, an Indian living in America, recognized the enormous potential in the field of data management and founded a company with two of her employees about eight years ago. Born in Pune, Maharashtra, Neha received her early education in a local school and after completing her schooling, completed her Computer Engineering degree at Savitri Devi Phule University in Pune from 2002 to 2006. She went abroad for further studies and completed her MS at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia in 2006-2007.
Neha Narkhede started her career in February 2008 as a Technical Associate at Oracle Corporation and held this position until February 2010. After that she joined LinkedIn as a computer engineer and from here her life started on a new path.
While working at LinkedIn, he created an open source platform called Apache Kafka while working on a project with two of his colleagues – Jun Rao and Jay Kreps. In this context, Neha said that Kreps faced some data access problems while working and Neha offered him help in this regard and started a great idea.
Neha says that instead of developing new technology, these people began studying and analyzing the techniques that were already working in this area and came to the conclusion that there was no solution to this problem. Everyone needs it. From here the cornerstone for the development of Apache Kafka was laid. Two years later, in September 2014, the trio founded the software company Conflate and later grew it into a business-to-business infrastructure company.
In addition to being a well-known entrepreneur in the field of computer technology, Neha is also a wealth of quills and co-authored the book Kafka: The Definitive Guide to all of Kafka’s technologies with Gwen Shapira and Todd Balino. It has been told.
In March 2020, Neha started working as a startup investor and consultant, providing technical advice to many large technology companies.
Discussing her love for computer technology, Neha says her parents brought her a computer when she was eight and her interest in computer technology began to grow from there. On a TV station, Neha said that her parents make a big contribution to her success. He taught her from an early age the importance of education and instilled in her the belief that she could do anything in the world.
Neha, who travels to new places with her husband Sachin Kulkarni and pursues her hobby of scuba diving, says her parents have told her since she was a child about many such people who have achieved great things in life. , especially about women who have made themselves a better place. Among those who have most influenced her are Padmashree Warrier, chief executive of electric car maker NIO, an American startup; Kiran Bedi, India’s first female IPS officer; and PepsiCo’s chair and CEO Indra Nooyi.
