The arrival of parmal varieties procured by the government on MSP exceeded the arrival of the corresponding period last year in various grain markets of the district. Suspecting the purchase of paddy from other states, officials of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB) have asked the district administration to ban the exit of farmers who come to the grain markets.
Only arrival of paddy will be registered on e-NAM portal and gate passes will be issued only after verification of paddy by registration of farmers on Meri Fasal, Mera Byora (MFMB) portal. According to HSAMB data, 7,724 quintals of paddy are yet to be sold and 3,85,254 quintals are yet to be removed.
Other data revealed that Kaithal district recorded a harvest of 80,09,387 quintals of paddy, compared to last year’s 72,46,212 quintals in the corresponding period, which was about 8-lakh quintals higher than last year. The Cheeka wheat market recorded maximum arrival of parmal varieties as it received 37,38,259 quintals, while it received 32,05,005 quintals till November 3 last year, data revealed.
The Dhand wheat market received 12,53,312 quintals against 10,51,249 quintals in the same period last year, while the Pundri wheat market recorded 6,74,981 quintals against 6,34,851 quintals this season.
The grain market of Siwan has also increased compared to last year. So far, it has received 2 million 57 thousand 698 corners, and last year 2 million 18 thousand 671 corners. The Rajound wheat market received 1,27,581 quintals, while it received 1,13,435 quintals during the same period, the data added. The Pai wheat market received 75,575 quintals, while it was 64,274 quintals, the data revealed. The grain market of Kalyat has received 1 million and 9 thousand 691 boxes so far, and last year 1,08,082 boxes were sold. Kaithal wheat market received 17,72,290 quintals.
Gate passes issued after verification
