We’re a little over a year away from seeing Victor Wembanyama play in the NBA and time can’t pass fast enough for that. The young Frenchman is a generational talent and fans were sweating at the prospect of seeing him on an NBA court.
He stated last month that the two NBA stars his game closely resembles are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant, which is a fair guess. If he gets anywhere near as good as those two, then he would have justified all the hype that’s coming his way.

Wembanyama couldn’t represent France at EuroBasket 2022 as he recovered from an injury and he may miss out on a gold medal as they made it to the final. However, he is now healthy and recently a video of him dominating the pitch went viral.

The talent is clearly there to become one of the all-time greats, but he still needs to step up a bit when he gets into the league. As one fan points out, if he has a physical transformation like Giannis had after joining the league, it spells trouble for everyone else.
A few teams will be incredibly lucky to sign him next year and we can only hope they help him develop properly. He could be the biggest shot at entering the league since LeBron James, and we hope he’ll continue to dominate the court for a long time to come.
