Musk rips ‘Satanic’ ESG as World Economic Forum meets and discusses controversial investment regime

Elon Musk focused his thoughts on the World Economic Forum’s goals of integrating “environmental, social and governance,” or ESG, into his trading strategies on Sunday, saying the “S” should stand for something else.

“The S in ESG stands for satan,” the Twitter executive wrote.

The tweet was in response to author and former California congressman Michael Schellenberger, who posted a series of tweets about the launch of the WEF meeting in Davos and rumors that the group is seeking global governance.

Schellenberger tweeted that the WEF and its founder, Klaus Schwab, are fighting those who want to dominate the world through a “massive reform” that could take away the wealth of many people, destroy the economy and make everyone eat bugs.

He also highlighted a quote from a WEF spokesperson in August, who said, “‘Have nothing, be happy’ – you may have heard the phrase … board 4chan. ‘Have nothing, be happy – The Jew World Order 2030’…”

Schellenberger said that the prophet’s words were not correct, however, and that the words “Own nothing, be happy,” came from the WEF website, not 4chan.

He explained in tweets that the WEF cannot be considered a conspiracy, calling Davos “one of the most popular events in the world,” and that it attracts celebrities, world leaders and billionaires.

Schellenberger said the WEF has proven to be very secretive, and when people asked the WEF how the Klaus Schwab Foundation invests its assets, a spokesperson said, “Swiss law does not require foundation financial reporting.”

“WEF says its assets are overseen by an internal Investment Committee that aims to integrate “environmental, social and governance (ESG)” measures into its investment strategy to manage the foundation’s long-term reserves,” Schellenberger tweeted.

That’s when Musk tweeted “The ‘S’ in ESG stands for satan.”
