FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A new Mister Bee potato chip bag design celebrating the New River Gorge region was unveiled to a crowd of attendees on Bridge Day today and reflects a collaboration between the snack company, WV Hive, the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority’s business and entrepreneurship support program.
Representatives from these Bridge Day sponsor partners met with officials from the Bridge Day Committee and the New River Gorge Convention and Visitors Bureau at 10:00 am to unveil the new design of the bag of chips in the Mister Bee/WV Hive tent.
Mary Anne Ketelsen, President of Mister Bee, said the new crisp bags will be available soon at local retail stores throughout southern West Virginia and the Mountain State. “We loved all the positive energy and enthusiasm for bridge day,‘ Ketelsen said. She said 876 an ounce bags from Mister Bee chips(represents the height of the bridge in feet above the scenic New River) wmarriage given free of charge.
Jina Belcher, Executive Director of the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA), and Judy Moore, Associate Director of the NRGRDA and Executive Director of the West Virginia Hive, came up with the idea of partnering with Mister Bee and the new bag of chips.
Belcher said: “Judy and I have been made aware of Mister Bee’s interest expand their market reach in our region, soTo reach your goal. We proposed a new bag of chips that would celebrate the state’s only potato chip company, as well as the new national park and the emergence of the New River Gorge region.”
In addition to the new partnership announcement WV Hive Business customers who participated the recent pitch competition for business ideas in Southwest Virginia Also celebrated in the WV Hive tent. The Entrepreneurs take part included:
