Los Angeles-based executive Luke Mitzman (100 Management) and music entrepreneur Mike Caren (Artist Partner and Artist Publishing Group) have formed a partnership focused on music producers and entrepreneurs.
According to a press release announcing the partnership, “The boutique will accept a small, select list of clients who balance creative and business skills.”
Early customers include Cirkut, Stargate and Alex Da Kid.
Grammy-winning producer Henry Walter aka Cirkut’s hits include Katy Perry’s dark horse and RoarMiley Cyrus’ wrecking ball, Flo Ridas Good feelingMaroon 5 & Cardi B’s #1 in the US girls like youas well as nine songs on The Weeknd’s Grammy-winning track starboy album, including the #1 Grammy-winning hit starboy.
Cirkut developed and produced pop star Ava Max (now with nearly 5 billion streams worldwide), including breakout hit singles cute but psycho (which hit #1 in 22 countries).
In 2022 he won a Grammy for his work hurricane for Kanye West, The Weeknd & Lil Baby as well as producing the current singles for Elton John & Brittney Spears hold me closerLil Nas X Star Walkin’ and Sam Smith & Kim Petras Unholy.
Earlier this year, Cirkut started his own publishing company, which signed Connor McDonough, who later wrote and produced Joji’s smash hit insight from us.
Stargate are Norwegian-born, Los Angeles-based music producers Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen, winners of four Grammy Awards (+14 nominations), ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Award, 40+ Platinum and Multi-Platinum Records and 10 Billboard Awards Hot 100 #1!
In 2021, Stargate launched the Los Angeles Academy for Artists and Music Production (LAAMP), a year-long intensive music program for aspiring writers, artists and producers.
The program is based in downtown Santa Monica, California and offers mentoring from top artists and Stargate employees Ne-Yo, Charli XCX, Cirkut, Benny Blanco and Justin Tranter.
