CALIFORNIA, SEPTEMBER 25 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke at the IIT BHU Global Alumni Meet in Santa Clara, California.
On that occasion, the Lieutenant Governor commended the efforts of young IITians for their achievements and advances in emerging technologies and strengthening a dynamic technology ecosystem for societal transformation.
The Deputy Governor also conveyed the motto “Joint Effort, Progress for All” and called on innovators and entrepreneurs to contribute to India’s growing knowledge-based economy.
“Development is driven by technology and innovation. India has created dynamic and fastest growing innovation ecosystems in the world, helping to create several thousand startups and over 100 unicorns that attract huge investments. I urge entrepreneurs to invest in India, the cradle of civilization and the most attractive investment destination in the world,” said the Lieutenant Governor.
He also discussed the progressive industrial policy of J&K UT conducted under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, highlighting the immense potential and opportunities in various sectors to create industrial and business ventures that also create employment opportunities for the youth will.

The Lieutenant Governor paid tribute to Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, saying that the achievements of the IIT BHU alumni both in India and abroad are a testament to the values instilled in the IIT BHU and the strong foundation for modern education provided by Mahamana was laid.

Discussing developments in the digital economy and innovative technology startups with innovators and entrepreneurs, the Vice Governor noted that on August 15, 2021, the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji emphasized the importance of startups and young innovators by designating the upcoming decade as India’s Techade and that the Indian Techade is being built by young Indian innovators.
India is now the new land of opportunity, achievement, knowledge and human capital. The LT Governor said the world has recognized the transformation in the Indian economy and the potential of the Indian market to achieve global standards in quality and production. He said that various core sectors with the best incentives, connectivity, energy and transport links offer a favorable investment and growth climate and India is on the way to becoming the innovation capital of the world.
The Deputy Governor also recalled the significant contribution of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya to the country’s first industrial policy.
Mahamana had recommended mechanization in agriculture, the abolition of taxes on agricultural production, the promotion of railroads and trade in industrial policies, the establishment of shipbuilding and manufacturing units, and the opening of commerce and industry departments in all states to promote industrial development. said the Lt. Governor.
The Deputy Governor also highlighted the transformation taking place in Jammu Kashmir and the unprecedented progress that has been recorded in all sectors.
