Home Bank and FHLB Dallas Award $16K to Housing Redevelopment Organization

The FHLB Dallas Partnership Grant Program provides a 3:1 matchup of member donations

METAIRIE, La., October 14, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Home Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) have awarded Home by Hand, a community-based organization (CBO) in Metairie, Louisiana, $16,000 in Partnership Grant Program ( PGP) creates strong neighborhoods by renovating vacant and neglected lots into single-family homes. The funds were recently allocated during a check presentation ceremony.

Granted annually by FHLB Dallas member institutions, the Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds help foster and strengthen relationships between CBOs and FHLB Dallas members. FHLB Dallas is doubling membership fees from $500 to $4,000 at a 3:1 ratio.

Home by Hand intends to use grant proceeds for program development, including pre-sale training for homebuyers and the development of a post-sale homeowner management program.

Home by Hand is one of seven local nonprofits that Home Bank is supporting with PGP funds this year. Together, Home Bank and FHLB Dallas have supported seven CBOs in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas with more than $67,000 in PGP grants.
