A Glasgow woman has been crowned Miss Great Britain.
Amy Meisak, 28, a real estate investor and entrepreneur, beat 37 finalists to win the prestigious title in the pageant competition.
In a first in competition, Amy’s mother Laurie competed alongside her in the Ms Great Britain Classic and finished in the top three.
Welcoming women from all walks of life, this year saw a record number of entries, and 62 women qualified for the finals after taking part in interviews and walking the runway in swimsuits and formal wear.
The event took place at the Athena in Leicester with 400 guests in attendance.
National Director Saffron Hart, who is a former Miss Great Britain, said: “This year has seen a record number of applications and women wishing to compete at Miss Great Britain.
“As a pageant that proudly stands at the forefront of modern pageantry, we are excited to continue to evolve and grow.
“Our candidates come from different backgrounds and bring much more to the competition than their physical appearance.
“They are doctors, dentists, business owners, mothers, grandmothers and lawyers to name a few. They are women vying to make a difference in their local communities, passionate projects and developing as a person.”

The new categories saw 73-year-old grandmother Maureen Lewis from Cardiff become the oldest entrant in the competition’s history.
Photographer and mum-of-three Charlotte Clemie, 35, from Leeds, brought home Ms Britain’s gong.
Meanwhile hair and make-up artist Nicoll Moss, 51, from Kent, has been crowned Mrs Great Britain Classic.

Ms Hart added: “All of our finalists last night were beautiful, charismatic, elegant and sophisticated. To be the National Director of a system whose philosophy is to help women unleash their full potential is a huge honor and something something I’m extremely proud of.
“We work hard to not only ensure that all of our finalists have great experience as finalists, but are equipped with the skills throughout their year to further enhance the passions and professions in their day-to-day lives.
“We have some exciting plans for the future which we look forward to sharing more about soon. Last night three outstanding winners were crowned and we are very excited for the year ahead.”
