Finance Stocks Lead 52-Week Highs; Markets Rise Monday

During Monday’s trading, 34 stocks traded to 52-week highs, while 53 stocks made new 52-week lows. The S&P 500 is up 2.65% so far today, while the Dow is up 1.86%, the Nasdaq is up 3.43% and the Russell 2000 is up 3.1%.

Shares rose Monday after a rally that ended last week when the S&P 500 hit technical support levels. Bank of America (BAC) shares surged over 6% after financial institutions’ earnings and revenue surged. Meanwhile, Bank of America recently found that it takes a developed economy an average of 10 years to get back to 2% inflation once the 5% mark is crossed.
