Delta University partners with Coursera to prepare students for jobs of the future

Coursera Inc. — a global online learning platform — announced Tuesday that it was forming a partnership with Delta University for Science and Technology to provide students with professionally relevant, multidisciplinary online learning and equip them with the necessary skills for in-demand jobs via the Coursera platform.

To become the first private university in Egypt to fully integrate Coursera for Campus into its curriculum to create opportunities and improve graduate employability will enable this partnership University students have unlimited enrollments in the Coursera catalog and access to world-class courses taught by over 275 leading universities and industry partners including Imperial College London, Ecole polytechnique, IBM and Microsoft, among other global partners.

In addition, students benefit from a premium online, mobile and hands-on learning experience while gaining job-relevant credentials for the courses they take. The Coursera catalog currently contains Over 5,200 courses, over 3,300 guided projects, over 650 specializations and over 115 certificates.

With Coursera for Campus, Delta University of Science and Technology Will:

  • Compare their learner data to that of other partners on the Coursera platform by region and industry segment to identify where skill gaps are emerging and where Delta University for Science and Technology students excel.
  • Curate content and learning paths to ensure students are introduced to courses optimized for their professional needs.

Coursera currently supports the skills development of more than 1.9 million learners in Egypt and more than 6.2 million learners across MENA. This total includes over 320,000 newly enrolled Coursera learners across the region in Q2 (Q2) 2022.
