Chicago – October 19, 2022 – Cooley has strengthened its growing corporate restructuring and reorganization practice with the addition of Eric Walker as a partner in the firm’s global legal practice. Walker joins from Perkins Coie, where he was a partner in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring and Business Litigation practices. Widely recognized for his strategic acumen, he works on all aspects of corporate restructuring and financial disputes, including representing companies and creditors’ committees in highly regulated industries.

Walker has extensive experience representing sophisticated clients in their most pressing corporate restructuring and financial dispute cases, including debtors, creditors’ committees, private equity sponsors, stalking horse bidders, landlords and others involved in out-of-court restructuring negotiations, bankruptcies and litigation. He has extensive experience in the healthcare industry and has successfully transformed hospital systems, senior living facilities, senior communities with continuous care, skilled nursing facilities, behavioral health centers and diagnostic medical laboratories. Walker also serves on the board of directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
