Grant

The Tehama County Board of Supervisors has voted to allocate $1 million to the COVID Relief Grant Program for Small Businesses in Tehama County. An additional $1 million has also been allocated for nonprofits (501c3 and 501c19) in Tehama County. Supervisors voted for the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce to administer the grant program.

In approximately two weeks, applications will be open on the Chamber’s website at http://www.redbluffchamber.com. Eligible to apply are Tehama County businesses with 20 or fewer employees that have been adversely affected by COVID from March 3, 2021 to the present. Applications for Tehama County nonprofits will also be on the chamber’s website at that time.

Prizes for eligible small businesses will be $10,000, chosen by lottery. Eligible nonprofits will be selected through a lottery system for grants of up to $49,999. There is a need for clear and robust documentation of requirement and there will also be a rigorous vetting process to ensure the eligibility of selected grant recipients.

The Downtown Red Bluff Business Association and Red Bluff Chamber recently announced that “A Holy Trolley Christmas” is the theme of this year’s Red Bluff Christmas Parade, Saturday, November 26 at 5:30 p.m.

Get your plans, friends and lots of lights and enjoy this great Christmas tradition.

Trolley car buses will join this year’s parade with lights and decorations.

The Saturday of the parade is also National Small Business Saturday. Come out early and support local shopping.
