Saddle up because Beyoncé is kicking the Black History Moth hard. Queen Bey took to Instagram early Wednesday morning (February 1) to announce that her highly anticipated Renaissance World Tour 2023 will officially kick off this year. The 40-show global trek kicks off on May 10 in Stockholm and will feature a mix of stadium and arena shows across Europe until June 27 before kicking off in North America at Toronto’s Rogers Center on July 8; that leg will currently take place on September 27 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
The posted image may look familiar to fans as she wore the same sizzling outfit on the cover of her seventh studio album. Bey also highlighted the news by adding the “Renaissance World Tour” on Instagram. Last week, Beyoncé performed her first full concert in four years in front of influencers and journalists at a luxury resort in Dubai. The 19-song set features a collaboration with her older daughter, Blue Ivy, and the two performed “Brown Skinned Girl,” which won a Grammy for Best Music Video two years ago.
A crown won by music lovers, Renaissance hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last year and had two Hot 100 top 10 hits, including the chart-topper “Break My Soul.” The dance album also received nine Grammy nominations, the most for any nominee at this year’s ceremony. Bay has 28 wins and is looking to win more trophies. Nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year, Bey faces stiff competition, especially for the former. The R&B juggernaut is up for Album of the Year alongside Adele, Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny and more. A win in this category would be Beyoncé’s first. The 65th Annual Grammy Awards will be held Sunday night in Los Angeles at 8:00 p.m.
The Renaissance tour will be Bey’s first tour dates since her 2018 On the Run tour with husband Jay-Z and her first solo tour in more than six years. Tickets for the Live Nation tour, produced by Parkwood Entertainment, go on sale for North American dates with TM Verified fan registration, which is now open and closes at various times by city (Click here for details on Verified fans and on-sale dates for European shows.) Also There will also be a Citi presale through Verified Fan, as well as a Verizon Up presale.
