Best Way to Exit Your Timeshare: Never Buy One in the First Place

If you own a timeshare or, heaven forbid, are considering buying one, I have advice that will help the timeshare industry following my April 2021 article citing Salem, Oregon attorney Eric Olsen, founder of HELPS , made me angry (opens in new tab)a national nonprofit law firm that helps low-income seniors with debt they can’t pay.

In that article, in response to my question, “What are you risking if you don’t pay the timeshare maintenance fee or loan?” Olsen explained, “I can’t think of a single case where a client has ever been sued. Timeshare companies never sue.”
