Officers arrived at Mason to go south on foot with 3050 east north. Once he reached the corner of Deseret Drive, police took the suspect into custody.

At that point, a staff member went outside and saw the suspect grab another rock and throw it through the windshield of a semi tractor-trailer. He saw Mason take another rock and throw it on the windshield of one of the truck tractors parked in the lot.
During a canvassing of the lot, officers photographed the damage caused by the incident, which occurred when they found a truck that had a broken windshield and a Camaro with a large hole in the rear window. They also found scratches and dents matching the rock behind the car, as well as a second vehicle with minor damage and a large rock sitting next to the car.
Officers found a third vehicle, a Jeep, with two large holes in the front windshield – damage “corresponding to rocks thrown at it,” the officer said, and police also found a large amount of shattered glass in the hood, as well as scratches and dents that appear to be caused by a rock sliding down the surface.
Mason was arrested and taken to the Purgatory Correctional Facility while facing a second-degree felony of criminal mischief along with felony assault and criminal trespass.
