Counting: $20-30 per hour and potential salary for the right candidate

CMAC is a fast growing club of almost 400 year-round athletes. We are looking for several trainers to support our development groups as well as a senior assistant to lead the group.

Prospective candidates should have a strong competitive swimming background, at least 2-3 years of coaching experience and the ability to lead large groups of athletes with a progressive, engaging and uplifting attitude.

Hours: Dependent on group placement but typically no more than 3 hours MF in the evening between 4pm and 7pm

  • Must meet US swim coach membership requirements and maintain good reputation
  • Come early, be consistent and reliable in attendance
  • Be a collaborative team player willing to help when needed (look for opportunities to contribute)
  • Maintain a daily, weekly and seasonal schedule for all groups/swimmers
  • Track daily attendance with OnDeck
  • Willingness to learn about the Team Unify platform
  • Show empathy, encouragement and passion for the sport to all athletes and families
  • Work from a technique-first approach – be ready to TEACH each session
  • Bring ENERGY and the ability to CONNECT with athletes and parents in every training session
  • Be adaptable to possible changes in coaching groups and provide support when needed
  • Attend quarterly trainer meetings
  • Attend up to one swim meeting per month as needed

CMAC has a rotating day off for employees after swim meetings and works to maintain a strong work-life balance for its coaches. We generally take 1 week off (2 for development groups) during the winter holiday season and 2 weeks between long and short course seasons around the beginning of August.
