6th Outstanding Men & Women of the Philippines 2022 bared

The Outstanding Men and Women of the Philippines 2022 were duly named at formal ceremonies on Greenhills San Juan’s Teatrino Promenade. Now in their sixth edition, these awards were created by awards guru, talent manager, publicist, BEST Magazine CEO and philanthropist Richard Hiñola.

Recipients are resident Filipinos who have made an impact in their chosen fields of activity, such as public service, entrepreneurship, entertainment, arts and culture, beauty and wellness, and advocating Filipino interests abroad, as measured by the contributions they have made to society and the nation, the advocacy groups they initiate or actively participate in, which serve as inspiration to others.

Dante “Klink” Ang 2nd, Chairman and CEO of The Manila Times, accepted the award for the country’s oldest English daily newspaper.

Other winners in the media category are SMNI and Net 25.

Persida Rueda-Acosta, chief prosecutor and Times columnist, accepted her second award in six years as one of the most outstanding men and women in the Philippines.

Nunungan Mayor of Lanao del Norte Marcos Mamay received his first award as one of the most outstanding men.

Winners from across the entertainment, media and broadcast industries include Ken Chan, Teejay Marquez, Jane de Leon, Jak Roberto, Kim Rodriguez, Gerald Santos, Maricel Soriano, Mel Martinez, William Martinez, John Nite, Sephie Francisco, JMKO Manguba, William Thio, Evangeline Pascual, Maridol Rañoa-Bismark, Eton Concepcion, Fernan de Guzman, Pilar Mateo, Sunshine Dizon, Kelvin Miranda, Lawton Ladao, David Chua, Ray An Dulay, Romm Burlat, Wacky Kiray, Vince Tañada, Pola, Ina Alegre , Mayoress of Oriental Mindoro , JD Chino Philyang, of Bulakan, Bulacan Mayor Vergel Meneses and Cong. Winners from the beauty and fashion industry were Herlene Nicole Budol, Joel Cruz, Mitch Lucas, Wilbert Tolentino, Betty Aw, Andrew Badiola, Melanie Veneracion, Evangeline Pascual, Meiji Cruz, Michael Cinco, Riza Dormiendo and Ali Forbes.

Animal welfare prizewinner was presented to Loreto “Eton” Concepcion.

Winners from abroad were Theresa Guck (Texas, USA), Jojo Almazora Sebastian (Sydney, Australia), Tommie Gelonga Mopia (Los Angeles, California), Helen Miller (Oregon, USA), Pearl Cruz Grande (Tokyo, Japan), Arlene Jane Camus Knof (Florida, USA), Carlo Galagata (Thailand), Anna Lisa Amar Eugenio (Melbourne, Australia), Daphne Chloe Villamor (Germany), Analieze Bella Newton (Sydney, Australia) and Lalaine Federizo (USA).

Business honorees included Andrea Shine Tallafer Agaton, Maria Cecilia Bravo, Pedro Bravo, Raoul Barbosa and Dante Salamat.

The Civil Service Award winner was presented to Police Colonel Marilou Aboloc. From the medical field, Dr. Joseph Lee, Dr. Rhea Candie Real Santos and Dr. Rey Salinel.

Special awards, meanwhile, went to Meiji Cruz, Analieze Newton Bella and Christine Escalante for Best Dressed Female; Teejay Marquez, Dante Salamat and Romm Burlat as Best Dressed Male and Star of the Year 2022 Male and Female for Kim Rodriguez and Jak Roberto.

Led by Richard Hiñola as a philanthropic advocate for his magazine Best (Beauty, Empowered People, Style, Tourism), Outstanding Men and Women of the Philippines and Philippine Outstanding Brand of the Year recognized countless Filipinos for their contribution to alleviating the plight of the Philippines distinguished less privileged in society or their leadership in the many aspects of nation building.
