New Cars 2023 – With December approaching today, the new year is almost upon us and with it comes a slew of new cars, trucks, and SUVs. With that in mind, we’re wondering what the only four-wheeled vehicle in 2023 you’re most excited about. Options range from old-school sports cars to ultra-futuristic all-electric vans.
Electric vehicles play a big role in the new arrivals for 2023. For example, General Motors plans to begin production of the Cadillac Celeste before the end of the year. The Chevrolet Blazer EV and Silverado EV pickup trucks should also go on sale and see deliveries during 2023.

Volkswagen won’t be releasing an all-new ID. Buzz electric van before the end of 2023 but he has promised us that we will get all the important details before the end of the year. That means we’ll know its powertrains, trims and pricing for delivery sometime in 2024.
Best New Cars Coming In 2023 And Beyond
Of course, there is intense speculation about whether or not Tesla will ship the Cybertruck to customers in 2023. CEO Elon Musk has said that ‘mass production’ will begin later this year, and several recent reports seem to support that timeline. New reports say an updated Model 3 is also on the way.
It’s not all electrons and chargers for 2023, though. Ford’s all-new Mustang is also coming and has nothing but good internal combustion engines to choose from. It will feature Dark Horse trim for the first time though and we’re excited to see how it fits into America’s original pony car history.
Ferrari to begin deliveries of ‘Not-an-SUV’ (rather SUV-shaped and sized) Purosangue. We know it will cost more than a Lamborghini Urus or an Aston Martin DBX, but will it really be that much better to drive? Only a proper road test will tell.

Upcoming Tata, Maruti, Hyundai Cars In 2023: Altroz Racer To New Hyundai Ai3 Suv
The automotive world started to look a little more normal this year as the return of auto shows and smaller, automaker-driven events combined to pull the lid on the new cars coming for 2023 (and beyond). Since the cars we’ll see in photos and on static show stands this year will become the ones we’ll get to drive next year, our editors sat down to consider what we’re most looking forward to testing. are We didn’t do this list last year (we honestly don’t remember why), but in the waning days of 2021, we put together a list of cars and SUVs that turned out to be just as good, or at least interesting. . As we hoped. There were names like Bronco, Defender, BRZ, Mach-E and Wagoneer. We jumped the gun a bit on the Nissan Z (which arrived this year), and I personally picked up the Rivian R1S, which I’m still waiting to drive. As you’ll see, I apparently didn’t learn my lesson about choosing unobtanium for this list.
Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder: I saw an early show car version of the Celeste at the beginning of the pandemic, and it was amazing. Then I drove the Lyriq, and saw what a great EV Cadillac could do for a fraction of the price. Just imagine what it could do with a $300,000 car. My only fear is that, with such a rare car, I might not get the chance to drive it. Crossing fingers.
Senior Editor James Reswick: This is another potentially bittersweet choice, because I’m pretty sure there’s very little chance I’ll be able to drive the 911 Dakar. Neither will my fellow editors below. With only 1500 seats built, period, and a press launch set to include only a few lucky journalists, we’ll live just as you do through the report filed here.
Editor Steven J. Ewing. He is a good man. But he’s a jerk to drive that car in Morocco or anywhere instead of me. Yes, I am bitter. I’m actually going to edit this story. Better not to misplace that semicolon. Anyhow, the 911 Dakar I won’t be able to drive. It’s absolutely amazing, turning an absolutely ridiculous, silly, cash-grab exercise of “off-road 911, chuckle chuckle” into something that looks like one of the most capable and fun cars on the road. Or away from it. That Porsche is only making 1,500 seems like utter madness. Anyway, I like to think of myself as an optimist, so here’s hoping I’m wrong and I get to run the Dakar.
Editors’ Choice: The Best New Cars, Trucks, Suvs, And Minivans
Associate Editor Byron Hurd: Well, Resoak beat me out as my first choice, and for exactly the same reasons. The best part of the gig is getting precious moments of seat time in cars that will inevitably be sold in limited numbers and locked away rather than driven. I missed Damon. I would hate to say the same about him.
Associate Editor Byron Heard: I owned a 2015 Mustang GT for a few years and absolutely loved it. It was the first example of Ford’s iconic pony car that truly spoke to me as a driver, not to mention the first one I could sit comfortably in. It took a long time to get a telescoping steering column in this car. I have high hopes for any relatively affordable sporty car still on the market, and the ’24 Mustang has more than enough of a reputation to live up to. This might be the last internal combustion Mustang we ever see, so here’s hoping Ford gets it right.
Senior Editor, Consumer, Jeremy Korzeniewski: It’s possible that I’m getting a little ahead of myself here by choosing Volkswagen’s upcoming electric van as my pick. VeeDub says customer shipments in the US won’t start until the first part of 2024, but that doesn’t mean I won’t get a chance to play this thing during the ’23 calendar year. Heck, some of my colleagues have already been behind the wheel, albeit in European spec models. In any case, I am very worried about it. Some of my fondest memories were on long road/camping trips in my own vintage VW van with my wife and dog. I expect we will make many new memories if a properly equipped Buzz finds his way into my life. Being able to keep up with traffic doesn’t sound too bad either, and a recharging stop every 250 miles or so seems downright dirty to me when I’m on a fun vacation with my family. Travel is part of the fun!
ROAD TEST EDITOR Zac Palmer: The new Honda Civic Type R may have stolen the show this year, but the Acura Integra Type S has to take center stage next year. In all the ways that matter, it looks like the Type S is going to be a luxurious Civic Type R. That means it will have most of the performance, but add daily driving niceties like heated seats, a heated steering wheel and probably a number of other features not available in the more basic Type R. Sign me up!
This Is Every New Car Coming In 2023, From A Z
With an Integra already in the garage — a 2001 Integra GS-R — I’m already personally interested in reviving the Integra name. I loved driving the A-Speed earlier this year, but it wasn’t the hardcover hot hatch I wanted in the driveway. Hopefully, it’s a Type S, because if so, my checkbook might open up. Launch is slated for summer 2023, and my expectations are high, so let’s hope Acura gets it right.
News Editor Joel Stocksdale: The regular C8 Corvette is one of my favorite cars I’ve ever driven. And while I also want to drive the new Z06 next year, I’m actually more excited for the E-Ray. I’m really intrigued by how the hybrid components will be implemented, and I think they could make a car that I already love even more. More performance and traction, but still keeping that sweet V8 and mid-engine chassis? I think I might just like it more if it was plug-in and had EV range. At least, I’m assuming. Chevy, please lend me the keys for a week this coming year!
